Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a booking?
Firstly, get in touch with a few details, I’ll then send you my booking form and contract, which will need to be completed and returned.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes. To make a booking the $500 deposit is required along with the completed contract and booking form. Without these your booking will not be confirmed.
Do we have to meet before our wedding?
This up to you. We can either meet-in-person or online. I always try and encourage my couples to at least meet online so that we can get to know each other.
Do you use 2 photographers?
Sure do. All photography packages include 2 photographers. This means that not only do you get the benefit of two sets of eyes, you’ll also get a wider variety of awesome photos. Cass is my regular 2nd. You can check out some of her work here.
We only want 1 photographer, is this possible?
Sure. If you are considering having only one photographer get in touch and I can provide you with a quote.
Do you use 2 videographers?
Sure do. All film packages include 2 videographers. My main video shooter is Scott. Scott knows his way around a camera and has been shooting since he could pickup a camera. You can check out some of his none wedding related clips on his website.
We only want 1 videographer, is this possible?
Unfortunately not. Unlike photography, there is considerably more gear that is required. Having one videographer is a recipe for disaster. As Scott always shoots with three cameras it is impossible for him to manage them all, as well as audio, and still cover everything.
If we book photography and video do you shoot both?
Yes I shoot both photography and video, but not at the same time. That would be insanely difficult and a bit awkward. If you do decide to book both, my preference is to shoot your photos and Scott, my talented video shooter, will be behind for the camera for all things video.
How much does photography and film cost?
All pricing information is in my price guide. Special pricing applies if you decide to book both photography and film. If you would like to have a look at the pricing guide get in touch and I can email you a copy.
How long before I get my photos?
This depends on the time of year. In peak season (Oct - April) it will take approximately 4-6 weeks for your photos to be processed and 2-4 weeks at all other times of the year.
We have booked 10hrs can we split the booking into two seperate blocks of time?
No, unfortunately not. All bookings are to be in one block of time.
Can I increase the number of hours I book after I pay the deposit?
Yes. If you are unsure of the number of hours when you make your booking, book for less and add the additional hours later. Additional hours can be anytime up to a week before you wedding.
Do we have to provide you with a meal?
Yes please. A fed photographer, is a happy photographer. Crew meals are required if you want us to stay past mains being served to your guests. If you also book film my video shooters also need meals, which means there would be a total 4 meals required.
Do you charge for domestic travel?
This varies depending on where your wedding is. For anything that is within a 3hr drive of Canberra there is a flat rate of $150. For bookings within the Canberra region there are no travel costs. Get in touch if you would like more information.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes. Around Australia and overseas. If you are considering having a wedding somewhere other than Canberra, I’d love to chat about the details and how I can assist. There may be additional costs depending on your wedding location and duration.
Are there other wedding suppliers you recommend, including photographers if you are unavailable?
Definitely. Canberra has many great wedding suppliers. Please get in touch for more information.
